Convention Spotlight: Kansas City Convention Center
Located in the heart of downtown Kansas City, Missouri, the Kansas City Convention Center is a major meeting and event destination in the Midwest. The eight-square-block complex offers more than 800,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including 388,800 square feet of contiguous, column-free exhibit space in Bartle Hall. The facility hosts conventions, trade shows, corporate meetings, sporting events, and special events throughout the year.
One of the center's most recognizable features is its dramatic collection of towering concrete pylons and sweeping cable supports above Bartle Hall. The distinctive architecture has become an unmistakable part of the Kansas City skyline and makes the convention center easy to spot as you arrive downtown.
Conference attendees can also enjoy the convenience of being right in the middle of downtown. The convention center connects to major hotels and parking through skywalks and underground walkways, while thousands of hotel rooms, restaurants, entertainment venues, and the KC Streetcar are all within easy reach.

The KC Streetcar provides free rides through the downtown corridor, making it easy for convention visitors to explore restaurants, shops, entertainment, and other attractions after a day of meetings.

Kansas City is known for its barbecue tradition, with more than 100 barbecue restaurants in the area. Burnt ends are one of the city's signature specialties and a must-try for many first-time visitors.
Traveling Saleslady Tip: Don't head home from Kansas City without experiencing a little of the city beyond the convention center. Grab some famous KC barbecue, hop on the free streetcar, and look back at the towering Bartle Hall pylons. They're one of those convention-center landmarks you'll remember long after the meetings are over!
